Camarasaurus

Late Jurassic, North America

Camarasaurus fossils were found in the Morrison Formation in the American West. This dinosaur shared habitat with other famous species like Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus and Ceratosaurus.

I tried some new techniques for this one; the Camarasaurus is a 3D model I made in Maya, with skin colors done in Photoshop. I also used Photoshop for some additional digital painting and photomanipulation. The background photos are from my own journeys to the Boundary Waters of Minnesota and the shores of Florida.
