Oviraptorosaur in Armor

A concept design for an intelligent oviraptorosaur character.

I've been thinking about the idea of "what if dinosaurs hadn't gone extinct" for many years. There are several versions of intelligent, tool-using dinosaurs in popular culture, but as far as I know there are not many that are based on oviraptorosaurs. Relatively bird-like and possibly omnivorous, they seemed to me to be a good candidate for evolving higher intelligence.

I made this 3D model using Maya, Mudbox, and Substance Painter, and rendered in Arnold with some slight tweaks in Photoshop for some of the images. I used Ableton Live to make the music and Blender to edit the turnaround video.
